Wine Warfare

Based out of Portland, Oregon, proprietor Tina Ragland knew she wanted to make an impact in the highly competitive world of wine distribution and needed a logo to man her front line. She knew she wanted to use the icon of a “grape grenade” to represent her new company as it was a little tongue in cheek and matched her personality and style of doing business on the battlefield of distribution.

Taking Tina’s concept as a jumping off point, we thoroughly explored type treatments, textures and different types of army decorations, distilling down the concept to a badge like crest setting for the grape grenade, done in an eloquent wood block print style, marrying the concepts of wine and warfare.
